OSHO On Competitiveness

Tweet Osho shares his unique insights on jealousy – an emotion which affects everybody – in relationships and in many other areas of our lives. He points out that jealousy is a symptom that has its origin in our educational system and upbringing; the underlying concept being comparison. Osho encourages us to drop jealousy, competitiveness […]

Tweet I am in a beautiful relationship right now; everything is going so harmoniously between us. Love is always beautiful in the beginning because you don’t bring your destructive energies into it. In the beginning you bring your positive energies into it – both pool their energies positively, the thing goes simply fantastically. But then […]

OSHO Thank God life is so uncertain

Tweet No relationship can be secure. It is not the nature of relationships to be secure. And if any relationship is secure, it will lose all attraction. If you want to enjoy a relationship, it has to be insecure. If you make it completely and absolutely secure, then you cannot enjoy it; it loses all charm, all […]

OSHO Unwinding Before Sleep

Every night sit comfortably in a chair and rest your head back, like you do at the dentist. You can use a pillow. Then release your lower jaw. Just relax it so the mouth opens slightly, and start breathing from the mouth, not from the nose. Don’t change your breathing — let it be natural

OSHO Feel the Peace in Your Heart

Go on doing it. And it is so easy that you can go on doing it any time. Just lying on your bed at night you can do it; just in the morning when you feel that you are now awake you can do it. Do first and then get up. Even ten minutes will be enough. Ten minutes at night just before falling asleep, do it. Make the world unreal, and your sleep will be so deep that you may not have slept like that before.

OSHO Know The Knower And The Known

Knowing is your faculty. Knowledge is gathered through this faculty. But knowing reveals two things: the known and the knower

The Master has given a beautiful variation of this technique for couples.
Partners sit facing each other, covered by a bedsheet and holding each ohter’s crossed hands. It is best to wear no other clothing. Light the room only by four small candles and burn particular incense, kept only for this meditation.
Close your eyes and hum together for thirty minutes. After a short while the energies will be felt to meet, merge and unite.

Friendliness Rises Higher Than Love

Tweet The very word friendship is not of the heights – the word friendliness rises to the moon, to the sun – because the word friendship is just of the mind. It is confining; you can be in friendship with only a few people. But friendliness is vast; you can be friendly to the trees, […]

Guru literally means ‘the light’

The word ‘guru’ is untranslatable. Neither does the word ‘teacher’ nor the word ‘Master’ have that beauty. In fact, the phenomenon of the guru is so deeply Indian that no other language of any country is capable of translating it. It is something intrinsically Eastern. The word ‘guru’ is made of two words, ‘gu’ and ‘ru’. ‘Gu’ means darkness, ‘ru’ means one who dispels it. Guru literally means ‘the light’

Marriage the ‘coffin of love’.

Tweet Osho calls marriage the ‘coffin of love’. He says: “They all say that love is eternal, never dies. Absolutely wrong. Real love dies sooner than unreal love. Unreal love can live long; it is unreal, how can it die? If you are pretending, you can pretend as long as you want to.”
